PlayStation 4 latest news
If I had a time machine, besides the obvious placing of bets on football games and purchasing of winning lottery tickets, the first thing I would do is go pick up a PlayStation 4.
Very little news has ever come out from Sony about the PS4, but we recently received a drop of whats to come from a EuroGamer interview with Sony's director of global operations, Shuhei Yoshida in which he said:
"Looking at the platform cycle, when the platform becomes something game developers are not able to improve their creations with, that's the time we have to really seriously consider shifting to the next generation," … "Gamers always need something new and more exciting. If they're seeing just similar types of games coming year after year, they will quickly lose their interest."
So basically, we not going to get a PS4 until every last drop of juice has been squeezed from the PS3. If thats the case, we shouldn't hold our breathes, because looking at the quality of some of the PS3 recent titles in terms of technical prowess, we are still at least another year or two off.
Games like Gran Turismo 5, Crysis 2 and Mass Effect 2 keep pushing the boundaries of what we think is possible with the PS3, and are the reason we will still be happy with our PS3 for at least the next year or two
